Post 16 Information

  • Breakfast club opens at 8:30 (for those who choose to arrive early) Breakfast will be available at morning breaktimes also. 

  • Monday to Thursday – 8:50 (registration for all students) Lessons begin at 9:00 until 15:15 (tutor time 15:00 - 15:15)

  • Friday – 8:50 (registration for all students) Lessons begin at 9:00 until 14:15 (tutor time 14:00 - 14:15)

Break and lunch times – Learners have a common room where they can spend their break and lunch times. Refreshments and snacks are available. There is also a designated outdoor space which can be accessed during social times.

We can provide healthy and nutritious meals that are prepared on the premises. These include a wide range of both hot and cold food. Alternatively, young people have the opportunity to leave the Post 16 site to visit local amenities close by if agreed by parents and carers. An agreed level of staff supervision can be put in place until the young people are confident stepping out independently.

What to wear – Smart comfortable clothing suitable for work, is expected. Learners can purchase a graphite coloured polo shirt and hoodie, featuring the Post 16 logo.

Travel to and from Post 16 – All young people will travel to Post 16 independently, semi-independently or supported, with a Travel Buddy using public transport. (see travel training)
